Jill & Steve
About Us
We have lived in Greenville, South Carolina since 2006. We originally met in Florida and were married in 1998. Steve works as a project manager and Jill is a Speech Therapist. Time off the dance floor is spent traveling, spending time with their family and three dogs.
our journey
We started taking basic group lessons in late 2009. We immediately fell in love with the dance, music and people. Even though we were not very good, we entered our first contest after a year and a half of lessons. That's all it took, we were hooked and never looked back! We currently compete at the Professional level throughout the southeast as members of the Competitive Shaggers Association. Our love of the dance eventually led us to having the honor to share it with others through teaching.
Shag is not just a dance...
We thoroughly enjoy spreading the love of the music, dance and lifestyle of the Shag community. Shag has given us the opportunity to do demonstration dances, volunteer at local nursing facilities and charity events. We have made many great friends through social dancing and are proud and active members in the Carolina Shag Club.
